CNX Details Appalachian Assets, Potential of CBM and Shale Plays

In its most detailed review to date of its holdings in the Appalachian Basin, CNX Gas said last week that it has an estimated 3.6 trillion to 7.4 trillion cubic feet of recoverable reserves and net unrisked resource potential.That range could go even higher once the company begins to analyze its holdings in the Trenton Black River formation, its tight gas sands in Virginia, and other areas where it holds conventional oil and gas potential, according to CNX Chief Executive Nicholas Deluliis. CNX has 486,000 acres of Trenton Black River potential, which it believes underlies all of the Appalachian shales.
