The recent heat wave gave forecasts a bullish shove — less so in the out-years — in the most recent Natural Gas Week Quarterly Price Scoreboard. For the third quarter of 2012, the average analyst composite spot wellhead forecast is now $2.95/MMBtu, or 63￠ higher than the previous Scoreboard average (NGW Apr.30'12). Of the analysts who participated in both surveys, all raised their third-quarter forecast. The high is now $3.20, while the low is $2.70.
