PG&E Gas Storage Site On Line, Testing Drags on at Aliso Canyon

McDonald Island, the largest natural gas storage facility in Northern California, has been returned to service — even though it is still not at 100%. However, the massive Aliso Canyon field near Los Angeles will remain closed much longer than expected and plans are being made to deal with possible gas shortages during periods of peak winter demand.
