Feds Asking Shell More Questions Regarding Chukchi Drilling Plans

Federal regulators have sent Shell questions about the company's plans to drill in the Chukchi Sea during the Arc-tic drilling season later this year. In a letter dated Jan. 14, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management officials have asked for clarification on a number of items that range from proposed worker-camps in the Alaskan towns of Barrow and Wainwright to changes under way to its leased drillship, the Noble Discoverer.
