Energy companies are touting the potential of new technologies to spur even more gains in natural gas production in the US, where the resource base has grown beyond expectations over the past several years. At a panel discussion last week at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a representative from independent Anadarko said his company is betting on rapidly evolving technology — such as single-pad drilling—to open up more resources in more efficient and environmentally sustainable ways.
