US independent Magnum Hunter Resources further expanded its leasehold position in the liquids-rich Utica and Marcellus shales in eastern Ohio last week through a joint operating agreement with privately-held Eclipse Resources. The contract area comprises an existing position owned by both companies in Monroe County, Ohio, immediately adjacent to a pair of successful wells previously drilled by Magnum Hunter affiliate Triad Hunter.
