In the current environment of low oil-indexed gas pricing, many high-cost non-US liquefaction project proposals are falling by the wayside, leaving the post-2020 gas market to more nimble, lower-cost US-based projects. Woodlands, Texas-based NextDecade, whose name literally suggests a post-2020 project, and Dallas-based Delfin are trying to be among those leading the post-2020 second wave of US LNG projects.
