Energy Taxes and Access at Play In Races for Congress, Governors

Many differences of opinion on energy policy have come into focus as candidates vie for hundreds of seats in the US Congress and for the governor's mansion in 36 states. Some races are close and the outcome could have big implications for tax and land access policy for oil and gas exploration and development. Other races involve incumbent governors who are expected to earn a second term easily, but are facing political pressure on policy matters as they defend themselves on the campaign trail.
