We appreciate the points raised in this letter and would like to clarify regarding the two main issues raised in the letter.Firstly, we do accept that given the retrospective nature of our study; many patients included had been seen several years back, and the new AASM guidelines were not strictly adhered to during polysomnography recordings. Since uniform data for periodic limb movements (PLMs) could not be obtained for all patients, we did refrain from pooling this data and reporting it. We do acknowledge that details about the PLMs and the PLM with arousal index could have added much more value to the paper.
