摘要

This is an interesting case-control study exploring a relationship between Green Tea consumption and urinary incontinence among middle-aged and older Japanese women. Authors found that women with urinary incontinence consumed less amount of Green Tea and took it less frequently, and that intakes of oolong tea, black tea, and coffee were not significantly different between women with or without incontinence. Although the total amount of fluid was the same in the two groups, items of fluid consumption equivalent to 600-800 ml were not identified (Table I). It is to be commented that miso soup is one of traditional foods for Japanese who probably take it at least once a day. Subsequently, if authors investigated the amount of miso soup consumed, they might have identified it as an another parameter related to urinary incontinence.
