MEASUREMENT COMPARISON PROGRAMS

The "Guide for Intel-laboratory Comparisons," RP-15, is being updated and will include information on the new NCSLIILC certificate issued to participants, the US National ILC database, SRM topics, appropriate data from ILAC 13 and ISO Guide 43, information on the NIST DATAPLOT computer program, and an updated Bibliography. RP-15 will now be titled a "Recommended Practice for Interlaboratory Comparisons." Dr. Bob Walters, NIST, has volunteered to help get the RP together. Bob also will write a section about the U.S. National Database for the revised RP. Based on the NCSLI Board recommendations, the reports of MCP-sponsored ILC's will try to conform to ISO Guide 43-1 Section 6.5: Scheme Reports. A discussion took place during the NCSLI Conference with Jeff Gust, NCSLI VP of Industrial Programs, and Roxanne Robinson. NCSLI VP Northeastern U.S. A2LA will have a representative at the MCP Committee meeting at MSC in 2005 to discuss this requirement. This change will hopefully assist NCSLI members participating in NCSLI ILC's to meet proficiency testing requirements for accreditation.
