Study on Entrepreneurial Behaviour of Rural Women in Karnataka

The research study was conducted in Mandya district of Karnataka during 2008-09, with the sample size of 120 respondents. Ex-post-facto research design was used for this study. The findings revealed that, considerable percentage of rural women entrepreneurs (44.17%) were in medium entrepreneurial behaviour category. Majority of the rural women had medium production efficiency (45.83%) and market knowledge (46.67%) and had high (57.50%) managerial ability. The personal and socio-economic characteristics such as occupation, size of land holding, annual income, farm experience, extension system link, level of aspiration and organizational participation were having positive and significant relationship with entrepreneurial behaviour.
