摘要

The studies on distribution of different chemical forms of zinc in twenty soils (both surface and sub-surface) collected from two different mapping units of Sira taluk showed wide variation in the content. The results revealed that, the total zinc content in the soils of mapping unit 12 showed irregular pattern of distribution and in unit 32 increased with depth. The water soluble (DTPA extractable) organically bound and easily reducible Mn bound zinc fraction in both the units decreased with depth,whereas carbonate bound and Fe and Al oxide zinc increased with depth.
