摘要

KODO millet (Paspalum scrobiculatumL.) is important millet in interior villages of Bastar district. Kodo millet is rich in nutrients and has traditional food value which makes it valuable grain among cereals of the region. Most of these minor milletsare grown organically throughout India and are preferred by consumers even in big malls of metropolitan cities. The organic production of kodo millet is regular feature in Bastar region, where availability of organic wastes are plenty like Sal (Shorea robustd), lmali (Tamarindus indica) leaves are being used in surrounding villages. These organic are utilized by the local people and hence they may be used for successful organic farming. Therefore, the present investigation was undertaken to know the efficacy of these organic wastes on growth and yield of kodo millet.
