摘要

A field investigation was carried out to study the effect of graded dilutions of primary treated distillery effluent on nutrient content, uptake, crop yield and nutrient availability in soil for 2 consecutive rabi seasons of 1999-2000 and 2000-2001. Results revealed that a dilution level of 1:5 recorded significantly higher yield of 76.82 q/ha by recording higher nutrient contents in plant at both anthesis and harvest. Availability of N, P, K, Zn, Cu, Fe and Mn contents in soil was more in plots irrigated with undiluted effluent which decreased progressively with increase in dilution levels.. However, their uptake was significantly higher at 1:5 dilution level followed by 1:10 as these dilution levels produced maximum grain yield.
