Camerate crinoids from the Givetian (Middle Devonian) of the Bergisch Gladbach-Paffrath Syncline (Bergisches Land, Rhenish Slate Massif, westernmost Germany)

Camerate crinoids from the Givetian of the Bergisch Gladbach-Paffrath Syncline (Bergisches Land, Rhenish Slate Massif) are extremely rare. From the "Unterer Plattenkalk" (Givetian, upper Middle Devonian) of an abandoned quarry near Unterthal, northeast of Bergisch Gladbach-Herrenstrunden, two new species of the family Hexacrinitidae WACHSMUTH & SPRINGER, 1885 are described, Hexacrinites unterthalensis n. sp. and H. heinorum n. sp. They complement a single "Hexacrinus" (= Hexacrinites unterthalensis) from the same locality, which is famous for molluscs with original colour patterns, well preserved sponges and placoderm bones.
