Growth hormone and thyroid function-interaction and inhibition

This was a prospective, observational study of adult patients with GHD who received GH-replacement therapy at a single unit in the UK between 1996 and 2005. Eligible participants had a peak stimulated GH level <3mug/l. Patients with a history of primary hypothyroidism were excluded. Treatment of hypothyroidism and other hormone deficiencies was initiated and stabilized at least 3 months before GH-replacement therapy commenced.
