摘要

This paper introduces the implementation issues of SYSTEM: A knowledge base description language for PC based control application. The language design take into consideration the main features of control applications that differentiates it from other classical applications such as the concurrent handling of event and the input data that is generated automatically by Sensor. The search overhead for fact matching are reduced significantly and restricted only within the set of fact instances that belongs to the same fact type. The forward chaining inference engine reduces the initial set of rules, needed to be proved, to those rules associated only with the sensor variable that creates the inference task.
