Jewellers and bullion traders in several parts of the country, including Delhi, on Monday resumed their strike, demanding a rollback of the 1% excise duty on non-silver jewellery. Most of the shops and jewellery showrooms remained closed on Monday in the national capital and other major cities, according to vice-president of the All India Sarafa Association, Surinder Kumar Jain.
