A new eustoma (Eustoma grandiflorum) F1 cultivar, Jewel Blue, developed by crossing Wonkyo A6-6 with Wonkyo A6-28, was released in 2003. Wonkyo A6-6 originated from the selfing of Tall Heidi Yellow, whereas Wonkyo A6-28 was developed from the cross between Tall Lilac Rose and Royal Lavender. Jewel Blue is 81 cm tall and has a good plant shape, with 6.4 nodes and 2.6 branches. The leaves were narrow ovate and long. Jewel Blue blooms earlier than the control cultivar, and produces blue, wide, funnel-shaped flowers with a moderately long vase life..
