摘要

When a technology specialist draws on the field experience of a world market leader to perfect one of its products, the results are likely to make quite a stir, as was recently the case among hydraulic excavator professionals. The benefits of the "OlLES 2000" sliding material - previously known only to insiders - can now be exploited by the users of low- and zero-maintenance self-lubricating sliding elements for all their high-duty products. This article reviews the highlights of a composite material which enhances the merits of sintered metal as a sliding material by combining it with an integrated lubricant - mainly graphite - plus oil impregnation, while at the same time eliminating its brittleness.
