摘要

Until today, forming process simulation was described only by FEM process simulation. The latter enables feasibility studies and optimization work to be carried out at a very early stage of the parts planning and production process. Due to the high consistency of simulation results attained by the real forming process, simulation tools are led to a reduction of prototype parts. A significant extension of FEM process simulation is three-dimensional visualization and virtual reality.
