Dynamics of Wet Weight/Dry Weight

摘要

A fundamental aspect of mushroom production is the use of dry matter, the portion of Phase II compost that is not water. As a non-photosynthetic organism the Agaricus mold requires a nutritional medium, or food source, for growth, energy and mushroomproduction. That food source is the compost and the quality, quantity, and condition of the compost on the bed, shelf, tray, or bag are what largely determine mushroom productivity. It is the interest of this paper to explore the nuances of the quantityof compost used for mushroom production.
