摘要

With the growing demands for reliability, maintainability and survivability in large-scale power plants (PPs) and power systems (PSs), considerable attention has been focused on developing fault diagnosis systems, which includes the capacities of detection, isolation, identification or classification of faults, etc. Fault detection and isolation (FDI) are the most essential tasks of diagnosis, for which many FDI techniques for PPs and PSs have been developed in the last three decades. Meanwhile, research on generating control actions, which have a low dependency on the presence of certain faults in feedback control systems, are investigated with the development of FDI. Some faulttolerant control (FTC) techniques have been successfully applied in PPs and PSs with improvement in production quantity and quality. In this paper, a general view is given on the recent FDI and FTC methods used in or developed for PPs and PSs.
