摘要

The capability of the WIC system has been demonstrated in this article. It has been shown how the papermaker can overcome process chemistry variables by measurements which are consistent, accurate, reliable, specific, continuous and multi-point.In addition, automatic control loops can be implemented using this information. Using the measured chemical properties, a mill has the opportunity to make positive changes by reducing breaks, increasing speed, reducing water consumption, lowering chemical usage, increasing yield, improving quality, reducing the broke and increasing motivation of the staff.To date more than thirty such systems have been installed in five international companies - Arjo Wiggins, Danisco, Enso Stora, Metsa Serla and UPM Kymenne. The type of sampling environment can be made up to 4.5% consistency for CTMT, coated broke,de-inked RCF pulp, mixed waste pulp, TMP and woodfree; with production covering coated woodfree, folding box board, fine papers, liquid packaging hoard, LWC, newsprint and waste-paper-based packaging.
