摘要

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on May 27 released information indicating that between 1999 and 2002, blood-lead levels in the United States declined, a trend that has continued since 1991. The information was gathered as part of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). The decline in blood-lead levels has resulted from coordinated, intensive efforts at the national and local levels beginning with efforts to remove lead from gasoline, food cans and residential paint products, the CDC says.
