This will be the 16th edition of the tri-K exhibition-the biggest plastics event in the world,and one of the largest trade shows of any type anywhere.(K stands for Kunststoffe,German for plastics.)Nearly 230,000 attended the last K show in 2001,even though it took place under the cloud of the Sept.11,2001 terrorist attacks and during the depths of a profound near-global recession.Though still too early to call,many economists now point,though gently,to a general uptick in business conditions.It's hoped that this year's show will take place in more benevolent circumstances.
