Elastogran To Sell PUR Business To Krauss-Maffei

BASF's polyurethanes subsidiary, Elastogran, plans to sell its PUR-metering-technology business to Munich, Germany-based Krauss-Maffei Kunststofftechnik, as part of a strategy to concentrate on core businesses. Elastogran, which is also BASF's route-to-marker for PUR raw materials (polyols and isocyanates) and formulated systems, adds that its reorganization will lead to the closure of its Schwarzheide, Germany, operation next year.
