PART 3 Out & About 2015: Martin Wallis looks back on a busy rally season

The Great Dorset Steam Fair, GDSF, always manages to provide a clutch of new exhibits either out for the first time after an extensive restoration or engines/models never seen before. 2015 was no exception. New in the models section was a very fine 4 inch Fowler BB1 built by Chris Wilson of the Leyland Club (photo 33). The model was started in August 2012 and first steamed in the spring this year with only a few little jobs like the cable coiling gear to complete. The model has a lengthened 4 inch Foster boiler with a dummy manhole and copper tubes.
