TETRONICS International has been selected by Japan's Furuya Metal Co Ltd to build a plasma system for the reclamation of platinum group metals (PGMs) from spent catalysts. The company uses Direct Current plasma recovery plants for the treatment of hazardous waste and metal recovery. Tectonics says its patented Plasma Arc technology provides a safe, eco-friendly solution for managing hazardous waste and metal recovery, "with the closest to zero waste achievable with current technology".
