Bush Administration Proffers 1 Billion dollars Technology, Climate Initiative: Zero Emissions, Carbon Sequestration, International Cooperation

Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham and Under Secretary of State for Global Affairs Paula Dobriansky last week announced paired initiatives in climate that will lead to a zero-emissions coal-based plant that produces electricity, hydrogen and salable by products; to international cooperation in and widening support for carbon sequestration; and to development of the hydrogen economy. Abraham and Ms. Dobriansky jointly explained the initiatives in a Washington meeting that brought together representatives of the nation's energy industries and members of the international diplomatic community.
