House passes comprehensive energy legislation; Senate committees act on hydrogen fuel cell proposal & CCT tax incentives

Today, the US House of Representatives passed a comprehensive energy bill (HR 6) by a vote of 247 to 275 that, among other provisions, will ensure continued development of clean coal technologies and availability of America's most abundant energy source and authorize research on uranium and gold projects. The Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee also began working on its version of an energy bill following Finance Committee approval of clean coal tax incentives.
