Hougen Manufacturing, Inc. (Flint, Ml) will showcase a new battery-powered Hougen-Ogura Punch-Pro Electro-hydraulic portable hole puncher, the 76000 model, that can be easily operated on-site, where electric power may not be available, or on a man-lift where power is not readily accessible. Although it is battery powered, it packs enough punch to generate 8.5 tons of punching force and can punch round or oblong holes up to 19/32 in diameter through 15/64 in mild steel (65,000 psi tensile strength) and 19/32 in through 5/32 in stainless steel (89,000 psi tensile strength) in 4 sec. The unit's throat depth is 1.02 in, and it can punch flat bar, angle or channel stock.
