Oxiana Resources NL has received the first assays from a drilling programme being conducted as part of a feasibility study of the development of the Khanong copper deposit at the 80 percent-owned Sepon project in Laos (MJ, March 1, p.166). The in-fill and extension drilling is designed to upgrade resources from inferred, to measured and indicated categories, and to test extensions to the orebody.
