WMC Ltd has agree to sell the Long/Victor nickel complex at its Kambalda operations to a subsidiary of Independence Gold NL for 15 million Australia dollars. The complex is on care-and-maintenance at present, but WMC's general manager of nickel operations, Seamus French, says that the new owners are expected to restart operations at the and of this month, with first production scheduled for the beginning of September.
