When I heard the rumours about Tamiya's Spitfire Mk.IX kit two years ago, I could not believe it. It seemed too good to be true, then several months later a nice box from Japan landed on my workbench. When I opened it, I was amazed by the quality of this kit in terms of detail and surface treatment. I'd never seen such a lovely kit!
