This month's 1/10 scale bust from the Korean manufacturer, Young Miniatures, is from WWII, this time a German Fallschirmsjager in the Ardennes in 1944 (Ref: YM1828). Yes! That is the time of the famous Battle of the Bulge that came as such a shock to the Allies, but which was eventually overcome with the Germans thrown back in disorder. Young B. Song, the highly talented company owner has sculpted the bust and incidentally, has also painted the box top example - Photos 1, 2 & 3. The kit consists of six parts, including a base 'riser' and a very fragile cigarette, which can be used or discarded as you wish. As with all faces in the Young range, this one has captured the very essence of this crack fighter. After removing the usual heavy Young pouring stubs, the parts fitted without recourse to any filler, although I did use some gap-filling superglue, but mostly for strengthening purposes.
