FACTS & FIGURES: New releases for figure fans

This month's offerings from Young consist of not one, but two 1:10 scale busts in the company's Historical Busts series, albeit from highly different time periods. The first, Ref: YH1826 represents an infantryman from the British army in 1815, more precisely the Battle of Waterloo and from the 92nd Regiment of Foot, the Gordon Highlanders - Photos 1, 2, 3 & 4. The bust has been mastered by the doyen, and owner of Young Miniatures, Young B. Song and is as expected, up to his usual very high standard. The kit comprises six very crisply cast resin parts including a 'riser' and with one small, fragile part in a separate poly bag. The fit after removing the casting blocks and cleaning up the fine mould lines, is excellent and I was soon ready for undercoating with my favourite primer, Gunze Sangyo's Mr Surfacer.
