Rifaximin, a Molecule with Newly Discovered Anti-inflammatory Properties May Help Shaping the Microbiome and Its Interaction with Host Immunity

I was invited to act as Guest Editor for this Special issue and collected contributions from several of the leading groups in the field worldwide. In this editorial I summarize the papers presented by the different groups spanning from clinical finding to insights on the role of microbiome and host immunity.
