Methodological remarks concerning the recent meta-analysis on p53 codon 72 polymorphism and colorectal cancer risk.

We read with great interest the recent meta-analysis by Tang et al., which evaluated the association between P53 Arg72Pro polymorphism and colorectal cancer risk. Twenty studies were included in their meta-analysis and separate analyses on European, Asian and US/Argentinian populations were performed. Nevertheless, several methodological issues, seem worth commenting.
