摘要

The article presents the impact of the change of drive excitation of DC series motor upon traction parametres obtained by a coal mine locomotive and train. The change in level of DC series motor excitation causes a change in the way thrust torque is shaped against engine rotational speed and current of the engine. It is of crucial importance upon received acceleration value and maximum speed of the locomotive and the entire train. Changes in engine speed and the torque of traction motor characteristics resulting from the changes in the level of excitation allow the choice traction parametres of locomotive and train. The analysis of computer simulation results presented in the article allows drawing conclusions regarding optimal choice of the level of DC series motor excitation depending on expected traction parametres of the locomotive and train in difficult coal mine environment.
