摘要

This book provides up-to-date concise and easily readable information on the geology and metallogeny of Mongolia, with particular focus on recent exploration progress in southern Mongolia. The ore deposits are presented in their geotectonic framework of the Central Asian foldbelts, i.e. the Transbaikal-Mongolian orogenic collages of oroclinally deformed Neoproterozoic to Paleozoic magmatic arcs, accretionary terranes, backarc basins and Mesozoic-Cenozoic units in between the Siberian and North China cratons. The geodynamic evolution is expertly explained by Yakubchuk, complemented by descriptive accounts by Tomurtogo, Badarch and Dejidmaa, and Badarch, and overviews of Mongolian ore deposits by Dejidmaa and Dejidmaa et al.
