The last three months have been something of a disappointing time for Cadia Hill, but Newcrest Mining Ltd believes there are brighter days ahead. The miner has forecast a turnaround, as the higher grade ore is accessed during the March quarter.Gold production from Cadia Hill during the last quarter was 54,131 ounces (slightly down from 61,223 oz in the previous quarter) at an increased cash cost of 387 dollars/oz (up from 298 dollars/oz) and an increased total production cost of 527 dollars/oz (up from 450 dollars/oz). Copper production was lower at 4,270t, down from 5442t in the previous quarter.
