Propane Autogas Stakeholders Convene for Engine Fuel Summit

Worldwide, propane autogas is on the move. From the World LP Gas Forum in London (cover photo) to the recent Propane Engine Fuel Summit in Texas, this fueling option is gaining more attention. The Propane Engine Fuel Summit returned in March after a three-year hiatus, with various American companies discussing their propane autogas offerings and selling fleet managers on the benefits of using propane vehicles. The event took place in Irving, Texas but was streamed live over the Web. In addition, it also had an international flavor as Albert Venezio, chairman and co-founder of Icom North Amer- ica (New Hudson, Mich.), discussed the beginning of the company in Italy about 30 years ago. Icom operates three manufacturing facilities in Italy that supply the European, Australian, and Asian markets. The event featured American firms such as vehicle and propane system manufacturers, as well as propane school bus companies, proparie marketers with on-site fueling facilities, and other stakeholders in the area of propane autogas.
