NFPA survey shows added caution needed when using space heaters

A recent National Fire protection Agency (NFPA) survey found that two out of three home fires associated with heating equipment involve devices other than central furnaces or water heaters.Among those other devices-such asportable and fixed space heaters,wood stoves,and fire places-portable kerosene heaters have the highest fire death rate per household.
