"Left wing luddites" and "evangelical zealots": these were just some of the terms Federal MP for Tangney Dr Dennis Jensen used in describing the anti-nuclear protest group that gathered outside The Esplanade Hotel in Fremantle last month during the second Australian Uranium Conference. Jensen, who has a PhD in physics and has been a research scientist and defence analyst, did not mince his words in attempting to discredit the greenies. While he dismissed protests outside his suburban office by the Fremantle Anti Nuclear Group as no more than "a publicity stunt", it appeared that he had no problem using much of this closing speech as a platform for... well, airing a few grievances.
