Sydney-based Stock Resource is confident the market will begin to understand the potential of Terramin Australia Ltd's Oued Amizour zinc play in Algeria as the resource expands. The evolving project, the investment adviser said, should have a plus-10 year mine life at very significant production rates. Located in the northern part of the African nation 270 kilometres east of Algiers and just 12 km from an international airport and shipping terminal in the western Mediterranean, Oued Amizour is based on a 50 million tonne volcanic massive sulphide zinc and lead deposit with a high grade core. Work carried out by the Algerian Government has resulted in published resources of 30 million tonnes at 6.9 percent lead and zinc (using a 6 percent cut-off), with the core containing 11 Mt at 13.9 percent lead and zinc.
