With the Svartliden operation in Sweden now running smoothly, Dragon Mining NL is looking to develop its Vammala project in Finland. The company is currently assessing several alternatives to finance the 17 million dollars needed to push Vammala to fall production. Capital expenditure will be mainly on underground development as Dragon already has a plant and related infrastructure at the site. Production will start with ore from pillars and stopes in the old part of the Orivesi mine, with development establishing access and production stopes in the new Sarvisuo Lode. Work at Jokisivu will start later, initially with a small open pit, followed by an underground operation.
