WITH A TARGET to start production at its Wiluna operation in Western Australia by the end of the year, Apex Minerals Ltd is busy drilling to push the project life out to five years. The junior has achieved quite a lot since its listing in June 2002, acquiring the Wiluna mine from Oxiana Ltd in May 2006 for 26.5 million dollars as the key asset in its development strategy following the earlier acquisition of the Wilson (Gidgee), Youanmi and Aphrodite refractory gold deposits.
