The task at hand for the new Hallmark Consolidated Ltd managing director Neil Biddle is to find a company making project for the junior company either offshore or in Australia. Biddle is also excited about associate company Batavia Mining Ltd starting production this year at its Gullewa project in Western Australia. Describing himself as a third generation prospector, Biddle is well versed when it comes to the WA mining industry, having grown up in Perth and being given a taste of the industry at a young age through his father's and grandfather's prospecting work. "My grandfather and father were both in the mining industry and during the 1970s and early 1980s we had a few family mines that I was involved with in the WA goldfields and central Australia," he said.
